Take a chill pill mate!

It used to be simple. You just go with the flow. Now, it's like.. go AGAINST the flow. It has been one helluva tiring week. Same routine, same everything. Insanity is looking for something different by doing the same thing again and again.

Pressure can classified into many things. To me, it's not that I'm complaining(which I am) about all the hype I've been getting into, it's the fact that you keep wondering about the fact that the light at the end of the tunnel seems to getting dimmer.. and dimmer.

When get to this point, you get desperate. You start making all sorts of excuses. I ain't good because of this and that.. even you know it that you're heading nowhere. You get all self-conscious, you feel the world's turning on you. Your pals tell you that you're no good, but you tell yourself not to listen to them. Your mind gets all jumpy when you realize you've loads of other things to do- homework, hormones etc.

I've been thinking, why not, I just take it all in? Deal with all my problems, that's it. Shut up about it. C'mon, that ain't gonna happen, is it? Life's best when it's simple right? So, I choose to face these problems, and not run away from it. If I ever get out of this path- and hide like a sissy- , do remind me that I have made a vow, to move forward. This may sound a lil' bit weird, but come, join me, and lets go a ride, face your problems. After all, what's there to lose?

Down but Not Out?

You just do not always get what you want. " The world is run by the Man." "Who?" "Oh, you don't know?" As far as I can remember(from the School Of Rock), sometimes, you get bogged down. Someone slaps you in the face and tells you that you're no good. You should give up, because someone told you too.

" It's not about hard you get hit, it's how much you get hit to be able to get up," said the ol' man Rocky. I got a real wake-up call. You just do something over and over again, and you think, hey, what the hell? WHAT-THE-BLOODY-HELL am I doing? But the Man tells you deal with it, keep your down, and follow the flow......

But oh no, it ain't that way. Sorry, but that's what everyone seems to be doing. Wake up, gotta see the bigger picture. Guys, sometimes, you gotta " stick up the Man". As I look at those ruddy lines on the whiteboard, thinking, is this really what we (teenagers) intend to do? There is a fine line between talking and 'walking' . I certainly would not choose to just do the same thing again and again( e.g. going to school everyday, being stuck in those four walls!).

But no, no no. The question is, what are WE gonna do about it? Are you just gonna let others stick a finger into you? As far as contentment can go, are you really happy with what you're doing? With what you've achieved right now? The answer is, who's gonna bloody care?

A Lil' Bit of Seaside Viewing

There is a saying in the Malaysian Language, " If you widen your horizons, you get more knowledge". This is in fact, true. I must say, it's a bit of fluff at first, but once you get start opening up your mind, you get to realize the fact that in life, sometimes, one must look at the bigger picture.

I used to think it was all too narrow. Life was straightforward, the world only allows you to see what you want to see. I always thought something happened just for that reason. However, if you see it as a different perspective, you manage to really understand it.

There is always a question of being too open. You don't wanna expose yourself for you think it as too dangerous, which is reasonable. But, which problem would you wanna have? Too open-minded, or too narrow-minded? Like I said, the world only allows you to see something, as much as you allow it too. Look at something in an out-of-box way, you get to see it in an out-of-box manner.

You think it differently, you see it differently. Open up the windows, let the light shine, and you feel alive.

Simplify, dude!

Simplification. How many times have you kept things simple? Simplification. Women are known to be masters in that, although men are slowly catching up! In times like these, simple is best.

I've been told that this blog is too much bulls***. Readers alike have told me to just cut it short, get straight to the point. Problem is, according to them, they just don't know what they're reading. Strange as it is, simplification is needed in desperate hours.

So, simplify you say. To simplify is to cut short the crap, and get straight to the point. Everyone needs to simplify, the question is of course, how? I've been trying some simplifying work lately, and boy, it needed patience and tolerance. To be simple is to be simple. All right, so I haven't been keeping things simple here, and I haven't been going straight to the point, like a misfiring laser beam. Heck, I think it is safe to say, being simple is not enough.

Sometimes, we should not simplify. We should just go with the flow. If we try, we fail. Sure, you can tell me, "Hey pal, I think you just lost your marbles for saying that" . Sometimes, it's just not the way, trying to simplify, for all we need to do is just take it up the chin. Where optimism is lacking, we can feel great that things could have been worse. Simplification is just another way out, an excuse of escapism, a sinful method of not wanting to take things as it is. To those cowards out there, what's wrong with a little embarrassment? What about the old-fashioned 'all guns blazing' attitude? My apologies to the offended, I'm merely learning how to simplify.

Simplifying is absolutely essential, no doubt, but c'mon now, what can you actually get from trying to be all too perfect and SIMPLE? Now, let's see, how could I have simplified more, folks?

Temptations, huh?

There are just too many temptations in life. Humane and inhumane, temptations are hard to ignore. The pressure we get, and the constant rebellious behavior lead to us feeling drawn to certain habits of stupidity and arrogance, with a pinch of brilliance.

Sometimes, it's hard to control and fight. Seeing a beautiful lady or an outrageously handsome man gets us going, feeling crazy with emotions. We become blinded by this temptation. Besides, it's tough not be lazy, when you've just woken up and feel lazy, refusing to get up. These lackadaisical attitude leaves us feeling unproductive, sick on the inside.

But how do we cope with these temptations? This may all sound crap, but really, have you ever been dominated by something inside you? Some kind of fervor that you very well know is bad, but alluring. They fill your mind with ridiculous thoughts, you feel bad, you feel guilty, you feel hopeless.

Still, you come back, you strike back. You feel anger and want to do something about yourself. It's unimaginable what people do just fight off these crazy thoughts, the burning desires to do something rash and ballistic. Most importantly, we do the right thing, we fall back into the right path. Our self-consciousness comes back, and once and for all, we feel dominant, and very much alive again. We control, use and fight back these temptations, ready to prove a point to ourselves.

Review of The Week!

Movie : The Avengers (2012)

Awe-inducing, funny and action-packed, this could be the superhero movie of the year (not that there are many).

It is unusual for directors to modify the genre of superhero movies. To be precise, if we are looking for some popcorn entertainment, Joss Whedon could have easily turned this into a full-blown alien-versus-superhero affair (that actually would not be too bad). Interestingly to note however, he does not. With an affinity to blend action scenes with tongue-in-cheek humor, he balances the tone of the movie to be both rewarding and most definitely, superhero-themed.

There are plenty of noteworthy things you can brag about this movie. The cinematography, the script, the visuals, the cast, the production design. Surely though, there would be one or two flaws, but they are not really meant to be called 'flaws' per se. Bending the laws of physics, 'saving the world' is saving the US and how Hulk manages to comply to orders are just some of the minor 'flaws'. These are probably things that you would just like to ignore for the sake of giving the director the benefit of the doubt.

It is quite evident that Whedon has made this film his own. He incorporates humor into almost every scene, as if things are not to be taken too seriously in the world of The Avengers. And it should be like that. Again, the emphasis on superhero movies usually lie on destruction, life-saving and personalization of characters. But here, there is some of that, but not completely. No chessy lines. No rushed pacing. No cliche-ridden narrative. (Just Loki speaking in a not-so-sharp English accent.)

The movie can also be likened to last year's Deathly Hallows (Part 2); a lot of hype, and duly delivered. At least we could expect how the last Harry Potter movie was meant to be : an emotional, epic battle. The Avengers did deliver but there is something different to the whole theme that somehow manages to change our view on how superhero movies should be in the future. Is it Robert Downey Junior's Shakespearean jab at Thor? Or is the excellent cinematography of sticking to single shots instead of quick-fire editing? Heck, it could even be Scarlett Johansson's semi-obscene display of bust. Anyhow the movie is a success, most definitely.

Unprecedented, now that is one word to decribe Joss Whedon's take on a superhero movie.

Personally*... Stay in your seats till the end; there are rumors that an extra scene is added to the US version of The Avengers, for compensation of the late release.
