Everyone has a impression that defies belief, truth and reason.
Well, he was deceiving... |
That is probably somewhat a true-if-you-want-it-to-be statement. Do most of us conceal what's more important, which is making a difference? Do we deny that sometimes all we do is put on a 'diferent' appearance of ourselves, a shadow of unrecognizable being?
In other words, we are all trying to escape from our true nature. We abstain from having to make the vital decisions that (though we know what they are) makes us who we are. If we are always fun and cheerful, do we really show that? Or do we put on a different face (i.e. being miserable)? Pretentious much?
Bah, by the time we figure who we naturally are, it'd be a tad unnecessary to dwell on the matter too much. Sure, we find out our true nature (the term is possibly inappropriate), but in the end does it matter? Is it worth looking at who we are all the time? Worth what, then? Time, money, relationships?
It is always a catch-22 situation when things are a little... against the flow, to put it mildly. So, why venture in something effortful? Because after some time, we'll by any means realize the true nature of ourselves. And why would we not want to relish that? Wouldn't we put everything aside?
Having said that, we love shows. So, no matter what happens, we still have that uncanny feeling of wanting to deceive others. It's probably easier to say, "We are idiots. We all are being deceived day by day." But, alas, we are not.
